Welcome to The Home Stylist, a professional mobile hairdressing service provided by Victoria, bringing over 30 years of salon experience directly to the comfort of your own home.

These Terms & Conditions explain how appointments, services, payments and product purchases work. Please take a moment to read them before confirming your appointment.

1. Our Services

The Home Stylist provides professional mobile hairdressing services, including cutting, blow-drying, styling, colouring, highlighting and specialist hair treatments.

Services are carried out in clients' homes using professional salon equipment and premium haircare products.

All services are subject to availability, suitability and, where required, an initial consultation.

2. Our Service Area

The Home Stylist operates within a 15-mile radius of Peterborough, including Wansford, Castor, Elton, Stamford, Oundle and surrounding villages.

Travel within this area is included in the advertised service prices.

Appointments outside this radius may be considered individually, subject to availability. Any additional travel charges will be discussed and agreed before an appointment is confirmed.

3. Booking an Appointment

Appointments can be requested through our website booking form or by contacting Victoria directly.

Submitting a booking enquiry does not automatically secure an appointment. Your booking is confirmed only when Victoria has agreed the date, time and services required.

Please provide accurate contact details, your appointment address and sufficient information about the services you would like.

Certain services may require an in-person consultation before a final appointment and price can be confirmed.

4. Prices & Payments

Our current service prices are available on our Services & Prices page.

Prices marked "from" represent starting prices and may vary depending on hair length, thickness, condition, the products required and the complexity of the service.

All colouring and highlighting services are individually priced following consultation.

Cutting and blow-drying are charged separately from colour services unless otherwise agreed.

Any additional services or charges will be discussed with you before the relevant work begins.

Payment arrangements and accepted payment methods will be confirmed when booking your appointment.

5. Colour Consultations & Skin Testing

Your safety and hair health are extremely important.

A skin test is required before your first colour service with The Home Stylist. Further testing may be required where appropriate.

Clients must disclose any known allergies, previous reactions to hair colour, relevant scalp sensitivities or concerns, and any recent chemical treatments that could affect the service.

Victoria reserves the right to postpone, adapt or decline a chemical service if the necessary testing has not been completed or if there are concerns about hair or scalp safety.

Hair colour results can vary depending on your existing colour, hair condition and previous treatments. Expected results and any limitations will be discussed during your consultation.

6. Preparing for Your Appointment

The Home Stylist brings a professional salon setup, including a table, mirror, chair unit, portable backwash basin, fresh towels and professional products.

Clients are asked to provide:

• A suitable, reasonably clear space for the equipment.

• Access to a tap and water supply.

• A safe and accessible working environment.

Victoria will take reasonable care to protect your home and will tidy the working area, sweeping up and removing hair following the appointment.

Please advise Victoria in advance if there are any access restrictions or special arrangements that may affect the appointment.

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans sometimes change.

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact Victoria as soon as possible so that the reserved time can be offered to another client.

Similarly, if Victoria needs to rearrange an appointment due to illness, an emergency or circumstances beyond her reasonable control, she will contact you as soon as possible to discuss an alternative.

8. Professional Products

The Home Stylist uses professional salon products, including Wella, Olaplex, Moroccanoil and Color Wow.

Selected products are also available to purchase directly from Victoria, subject to availability.

Product suitability and homecare recommendations can be discussed during your appointment.

Any purchases are subject to your statutory consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty, incorrectly described or unsatisfactory goods.

Where a legal right to cancel a product purchase applies, the relevant cancellation and return arrangements will be explained at the time of purchase.

9. Satisfaction & Customer Care

Victoria takes pride in delivering a professional, personalised service and wants every client to feel happy and confident with their hair.

If you have any concerns following your appointment, please get in touch as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter can be discussed and an appropriate solution considered.

All services will be performed with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory consumer rights or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Personal Information & Privacy

When contacting The Home Stylist or requesting an appointment, you may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, telephone number, email address, appointment address and relevant details about your hair or requested services.

This information is used to respond to enquiries, arrange and provide appointments, maintain appropriate client records and communicate about your services.

Your information will not be used for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.

11. Website Information

We aim to ensure that information on this website, including service descriptions, prices and product information, is accurate and up to date.

Occasionally, services, prices or availability may change. Any applicable prices and arrangements will be confirmed before an appointment is agreed.

Website content, photography and branding may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder.

The Home Stylist hairdressing services are separate from the digital wellbeing services offered by Fused4Life, notwithstanding that this website is hosted on the Fused4Life domain.
